Happy mother's day! I know it is Monday, but aren't mom's still moms every day? I have the perfect day-after mother's day session for you...a mom-to-be.
I met with the cutest family last week and expedited the session because of the timely manner in which we all need to remember the belly. After-all, Mason is due at the end of the month! The gender of the baby is going to be a surprise, but I know it will be a gorgeous kiddo just by looking at Berklie & Henley. Those two girls have this timelessness about them. I love that they weren't over-dressed or super frufru ..just them.
I have to admit I was a little nervous about the session. Never having been pregnant myself, I never really understood the need for a "traditional maternity session". So I told Mason that none of our maternity sessions were traditional, and she was pretty much like "great, 'cause we're not traditional" . In the end, I had no reason to be nervous because this family was just flat out lovely. Their style was great, so I know baby D will be in good hands.
Never have I seen a family that could go from "serious face" to "bahaha face" as well as this family!
These kiddos have gorgeous eyes. No, I didn't touch them in photoshop.
This may be my fav from the day.
My fav of Mason
Oh... No.. THIS is my favorite shot of the day. And I normally get a little weirded out by pregnant bellies, but this one.. not so much. I couldn't decide if I liked the color or black/white version better. What do you think?
Thanks D family for hanging out with me for the evening!
PS. Thanks Stacey for hookin' us up!
